Steinecke

Baking tradition meets a fresh digital start

Since 1945, Meisterbäckerei Steinecke has stood for traditional baking and strong regional roots. Today, the family-owned business operates more than 500 stores across Germany. We reimagined its digital presence and developed a website that brings the brand’s history together with a clean look & feel, an easy-to-navigate product range and a simple store locator.

Problem

The relaunch started right where Steinecke’s existing website no longer met their standards. The site looked dated, the product range was not directly integrated, and even finding specific products, such as vegan options, was cumbersome. For a brand of this size, this meant a digital presence with clear user guidance that provides orientation and presents the portfolio in a contemporary way was missing.

The relaunch was meant to bring Steinecke’s digital presence firmly into the present. This was about more than a new look. The brand’s history and recognition needed to remain intact, while products, stores and content became significantly easier to access.

The challenge: How do you bring an established heritage brand into the digital present while creating a foundation that can grow with the company?

Solution

The new look & feel combines Steinecke’s history with the energy of a company that wants to evolve and try new things. Clear structures and a contemporary design give the brand an image that once again fits the company behind it.

For the new website, we developed a flexible content system with around 20 reusable content modules. This allows the Steinecke team to independently assemble pages and campaigns and continuously expand their online presence. At the same time, we reorganized the product range, store locations, and other content. The product portfolio is integrated directly into the website and can be easily discovered via search and filters. A store locator makes more than 500 branches quickly accessible, while the cross-site search connects products, locations, and other content. The existing Rexx job portal was also integrated into the new web presence.

The result: a website that presents Steinecke in a contemporary way, guides customers to products and stores faster, and provides the team with a flexible foundation for new content, campaigns, and digital offerings.

We implemented our website relaunch with LAUDO and are very satisfied with the cooperation and the result!
